hi everybody, just thought i would tell you about my lovely weekend in england at my niece's wedding. well i had my dress & jacketBigGrin & only had sandals to get, as we all know ra in feet & nice sandals are not a good mix coudnt get the ones i liked as toes and bunions made sandals look deformedScared but i finally found a pair blue same color as my dress ThumpUp but very thin soles extra wide fitting lol i thought they would do for church and photos then change into nice comfy ones, but they still hurt when i tried them on with my outfit i didnt know what to do, then i thought i would use double sided tape and tape my insoles which are blue into the sandalsThumpUp it worked a treat and my feet were fine, by the time wedding was over my feet were sore but i was not careing as i was comeing home the next day in the car with my slippers on i would do this again as it made such a diffrence having nice sandals on again and wedding was lovely my podiatry lady has very kindly made me another pair for my every day trainers she had a good laugh when i told her what i had done and said she would pass on to other people who it might help BigGrin take care sylvia xxxx

What a great idea, Sylvia! Glad you had a great time. Feet really are a pest, aren't they? I live in a pair of Hotter sandals at the mo as everything else hurts!! xxx

Hi Sylvia

Glad you had a great time and found a way of wearing nice shoes. I will have this problem when my son gets married next year. I have insoles that were made for me and I stick mine in sandals with double sided velcro. He made them cream so they wouldn't be so noticeable in sandals and they are great. To be honest I wouldn't mind if they were red, white and blue as long as they didn't hurtBigGrin .

I wear Hotters as well Sylvia. I think you will find them very comfortable. I never have them off my feet. Even if it is pouring down I go out in my sandals.

Hi Sylvia

As you have not tried Hotter, it maybe as well to find an outlet shop so you can try on (they have them in some garden centres etc.). I am sure Hotter would let you know where to find them. Obviously buying on-line is OK once you know how the sizes and widths. I've got about 10 pairs and depending on how my feet are when I wake up, I wear a pair that fit on that day!! The trainer type are brill when your feet are swollen, as are the velcro sandals.

Hi Sylvia, Feet again!Smile RollEyes Glad you managed to sort yours out for the wedding and you had a good day. I have several pairs of hotter shoes, i also find the trainer type of theirs the comfiest and most supportive. I have lately had a few pairs of shoes and sandals which take insoles from widerfitshoes.co.uk, i buy these online but their returns service is very good, they are slightly more expensive than hotter but i have found they accommodate my bunions and insoles better!

Hi Sylvia,

Feet really are a problem where I'm concerned, can't wear heels at any cost. Whenever I buy a new dress for a special occasion I always have to take into consideration whether they will go with a pair of flatties.

I live in flipflops in the summer and flat boots in the winter.

Try on everything, Sylvia - some of the Court shoes do not seem to fit me as well as the velcro fasteners and sandals. Even so, there are some pretty nice styles and they last and last and last! xx
